THE MISSION
FEEL FREE
When the guys from PAWN DOT COM Bar approached me and we talked about the design concept, it was clear to me that the result would inspire us all. Basically, they wanted the space to look as if various graffiti writers had walked through the rooms over a long period of time and left their marks – but with the necessary style.
They explained to me what the furnishings and lighting should look like later, as the rooms were still empty.
Even though it looked like a lot of work, that was exactly my thing. I already had the finished room in front of me, so to speak, and the guys had confidence in me and my work and let me do it…

JUST DO IT
FEEL FREE AND JUST LET EVERYTHING OUT
When I was alone on site, I initially had doubts as to whether the boys knew what they had let themselves in for and slowly felt my way around. The only request was not to make it look too much like a youth club. On the first big wall, I only put up throwups at first and saved the dirty textures for later to see how the boys would react when they came over after the first few hours.
And what can I say, they really wanted the original dirty graffiti style – so I let it all hang out and bombed the place.
I’ve never felt so free on a job before and that’s exactly what you can feel and see in the end result.

BOMB IT ALL
RADICAL INTERIOR DESIGN
The boys were on fire and we took the next step together. After more and more utensils were bombed for the premises, the toilets were to be radically bombed in chrome silver and black. These were then to be given a certain flair with controllable lighting.
I should exaggerate even more there and ideally create a look similar to that of fire extinguishers filled with paint on facades.
The first thought would be that this would look very dirty, but in contrast to certain surfaces that were previously masked, such as the mirror or the toilets, this would create a very specific and special atmosphere inside.

MORE THAN A BAR
PERMANENT AKTE ONE EXHIBITONS WITH FLAIR
Because I could actually do what I wanted, it became more of a permanent AKTE ONE exhibition. In this very special flair of his freely released graffiti art in the “Tags`n Flops” style in Berlin-Mitte, it is wonderful to enjoy the evening with a few good drinks.
Even the design of the bar menu was digitally adapted to the interior by AKTE.
But it’s best to see for yourself…
All information can be found here -> PAWNDOTCOMBAR.BERLIN
You can also find information about the boys’ second bar “THE WASH”, where AKTE was also allowed to let off steam. Close enough to stop by and enjoy the good drinks.
This bar is also actually a permanent AKTE ONE exhibition.
